Behind these compostable mailers is our company called I-Pak, and us, Marko & Erika.
Every mailer passes through our hands – we manufacture them in our own workshop in Croatia, EU.
We started this journey when we were both 21 years old. It took us 1.5 years to produce and test different sustainable products, and realize that compostable mailers have the biggest potential – by producing them we could make the biggest difference, and create change – so we didn’t just randomly pick them, it took us a huge amount of work.
We first tested different sustainable materials, tried to get the perfect ratio between sustainability and durability, and then ensure our mailers handle real-life shipping demands.
MORE THAN "JUST SOME BAGS"
Maybe you’ll think “What change can they make when they are just producing some bags”?
Well, we believe there’s a whole bigger story – we don’t see these bags as just packaging, we see them as a way to reduce plastic packaging waste. Each mailer you order, and each mailer we produce means one less piece of plastic – and that is something meaningful.
We really did risk everything for the smallest chance that something absolutely amazing could happen, and it did – we now work with brands from Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Ireland, the UK, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia – and now we’re waiting for you, to shift the future with “just some bags”.
